Joy Dare 2013 - Day 6

Let me just say that my biggest joy tonight comes from knowing that tomorrow my kids go back to school.
They have been off for 16 days.
Sixteen. Days.
I love my kids, but they don't act like they love each other much right now. And that tells me it's time for some separation.

Of course they were crying like tomorrow was the end of the world.
I suppose for them it kind of is.

But today's joy dare is actually this:
One thing in your bag, your fridge, your heart.

One joy in my bag:
I carry a bottle of this with me at all times and also keep one in the medicine cabinet.

It's kind of like a homeopathic Zicam, only better. The chiropractor that treated Zane for his food allergies (read about that crazy hoopla here) gave me this last winter. You put 5 drops of it under your tongue every 30 minutes for about 6-8 hours at the first sign of a cold and then just every few hours after that until symptoms subside. I honestly believe it knocks a cold right out. I even use it on the kids.
It. Works. People.

One joy in my fridge:
Oopsie.
When I read this this morning I thought it said "on" my fridge so all day long I had decided what my joy was going to be. But then tonight as I sat down to type all this I realized it was supposed to be a joy "in" my fridge.
I'm not changing it.
This one makes me too happy to replace with some sort of food item (and in the case of my fridge it would probably be some sort of moldy-long-over-due-need-to-be-tossed food item).

Smart kids.
Yes!
Much better than deli fresh colby jack cheese (which is a joy "in" my fridge).

A joy in my heart:
I don't have a picture of this one.
Although I really wish I did.
Today Zane's 13 year old cousin (soon to be 14, yikes!) gave him a present.
Rumor is, Zane started hugging him before he even opened it. Sweet boys.
The cool thing is, this present was purchased by the 13 year old with the money he got for Christmas.
This teenager wants to be so invested in the life of my 7 year old that he spent his own Christmas money to buy a gift that he knew my boy would love.
What a generous heart.
I could definitely learn a thing or two from this guy.
